On Sunday, while I worked on an overdue project inside, Jason and Audrey made an addition to our already growing garden. I had heard that onion sets are great for little hands learning to garden. Easy to hold, colorful, and requiring very little digging, they seemed like the perfect new veggie for us to try this year. I like the idea of trying one new plant variety each year. I really like the idea of choosing something so easy for Audrey to do with minimal assistance. One simple gardening project, an excuse to get some sun with a side of dirt, and another reason (does she really need one?) for Audrey to take a picture of her shoes (see the last pic) - could you ask for a better afternoon? (All other pictures taken by Jason).
