Cruisin'

Today, Audrey, Nate, and I each donned a pair of wheels: bike, stroller, and Rollerblades, respectively. Watching me push a stroller atop a pair of moving shoes, a bystander called me brave (but, I think crazy might have been the word she was searching for). Sometimes, you must go beyond your box (or flat-bottomed shoes), and strike out on an open path to see what you can see. To feel the breeze, created by your speed, that you would have otherwise missed. These pictures capture our morning moments: those taken in the midst of our movement and those taken in the moments of still. All capturing the rhythm of summer.

  1. That's funny. I went rollerskating pushing my son in his stroller around the neighborhood a couple months ago and ended up with a huge bruise because it was hard to navigate our sloped driveway. But it was a blast feeling the wind going through my hair.

  2. I was thinking about getting a jogging stroller, but Jilly's already a year old. Do you think it's too late?

  3. Amy, I'm glad I'm not the only one! :)

Joany, you're not too late to get a jogging stroller. Most pediatricians say not to use one until your child is 5-6 months old and sitting up on their own. Audrey still likes to get in mine and go for a jog. My stroller holds up to 75 lbs., so if Audrey grows at the rate I did, I'll still be pushing her around with it in middle school. Lol. As long as Jillian likes stroller rides, I'd say go for it.
